Mom & Dad

I am walking in honor of my Mom, Mary Ann Waun who is struggling with Alzheimer's disease. She has volunteered to participate in studies to find medications to treat this disease. These studies may not help my Mom. She is hoping that by participating in these studies it will help her children and grandchildren in the event that we may be affected by this disease in the future.

It's a helpless feeling, watching someone you love battle Alzheimer's disease. I am walking because I can and because I should.

Currently more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, and 78 million baby boomers are at risk – unless we find a way to change the course of the disease.

I need to do my part to fight this disease, but I need to ask for your support! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.

On behalf of the millions of Americans who are living with this disease, thank you for supporting my efforts. We're on the MOVE to end Alzheimer’s!
